About

Rikke - a different kind of singer-songwriter and emotional storyteller.

As an established and well-respected musician and artist in her native Norway, RIKKE has written and released six albums to date on her own Rikkileaks label, whilst becoming a household name due to her ‘day job’ as backing vocalist to some of Norway’s biggest acts such as Bernhoft, Madcon, Marcus & Martinus and Emma Steinbakken, and on the Norwegian hit TV-show “Hver Gang Vi Møtes” .

Musical influences include Fleetwood Mac, Bon Iver, Björk and AURORA, while her inspiration is drawn from her father’s record collection and the will to write for the unheard & the misunderstood. Her thoughts and ideas come together in song on the 100yr old grand piano in the centre of her Oslo apartment.

With previous success in Norway and Germany, and now signed to London’s Cooking Vinyl, Rikke is readying her next project which promises to build on her impressive career foundations and shine a light on her abilities as a unique & enigmatic songwriter and performer who sings in full colour and wears her heart firmly on her sleeve.

“It's difficult for a singer-songwriter to stand out in today's crowded music scene, so it's good to hear a fine album that has such a clear sense of identity as Not Even Air Can Come Between Us Now.”

— RnR magazine
